About us

About us

A workshop in Nanping,
shipping to forty countries.

We are not a trading company. HJY owns its kilns, its milling line and its finishing benches — which is why we can promise a moisture content and a delivery date, and mean both.

What we actually do

Three things,
done in-house.

Everything that decides whether a board stays flat, a spoon stays smooth and a carton survives a container is under our own roof.

01

Drying & milling

Two kilns hold 60 m³ at a time. We dry to 8–12% and rest the stock before it is cut — the single most common reason boards warp is skipped here.

02

Machining & hand finishing

CNC for repeatability, then hands for the edges. Every piece is sanded to 240–400 grit and oiled in a dust-controlled room.

03

Packing & QC

Six inspection gates, from pole grading to carton drop test. Retained samples for every order, so a re-order matches the first one.

Our story

Started with two kilns
and a rented shed.

In 2009 we were four people cutting boards for a local wholesaler. The first export order — one container of edge-grain boards to Hamburg — taught us the thing that still runs the business: buyers do not come back for the price, they come back because the second order arrived exactly like the first.

Today two workshops run side by side: milling and drying in one, finishing and packing in the other. The people who sand the spoons have been with us an average of nine years.

“Same spec, same finish, order after order. That is the whole promise.”

Milestones

Seventeen years,
in containers.

2009

Two kilns and a 400 m² shed

Four founders, one bandsaw, cutting boards for a regional wholesaler in Fujian.

2013

First container to Europe

Edge-grain boards to a Hamburg importer — and the first FSC documentation we ever filed.

2016

Our own milling and CNC line

Machining moved in-house, which cut lead time from 60 to 35 days and made custom sizes realistic.

2019

Second workshop, six-stage QC

Finishing and packing separated from milling; the QC sheet buyers now ask for was written that year.

2022

FSC® chain of custody & BSCI audit

Full traceability from pole to carton, plus the social-compliance audit most European retailers require.

2026

167 SKUs, 40+ countries

Five craft lines, one standard of finish, and roughly a third of output made to a customer's own drawing.
